Testing...Again

January 5, 2011

Kayla went for her allergy testing today. We hoped that we would see some changes from the last time we had these test done. We did the scratch testing today on all of the things that she is allergic to. There were no changes. She still has severe allergies to Milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, pork, beef. The only thing that showed a little improvement was apple. We were told that after the blood test in 6 months, if the levels look good, we may be able to try apple.

Kayla was very brave. This testing is very painful. I have to hold her and pin her arms for 10-15 minutes so that she doesn't scratch or rub her back. If she did this, she would ruin the test. She only cried a little, even though I know she was really uncomfortable. We sang songs and the nurse was back before we knew it. She didn't need the full 15 min. She had 4+ (the highest scoring done) welts before the 15 min was up.

Here is a couple of pictures......

New Year 2011.....

We made it to another year. We are so blessed and we are thankful to all of our friends and family for making our lives so happy.

We love you all.....

The Nyman's

PS..our blog is no longer private. We'll see how it goes....

Christmas

Kayla was so fun at Christmas this year. She was really excited to leave a Pepsi and Cookies for Santa. She also left carrots for Rudolf. She bounced out of bed Christmas morning and ran to check to see if Santa ate the cookies. She was so excited that he came. He left her a Cinderella vanity. She said "It's just what I wanted...." She was super cute.

Halloween

Kayla was a beautiful butterfly this year for halloween. She had fun trick or treating.

Huntin' 2010

Hunting was fun this year. Daddy had the time of his life. He loves to go hunting. Grandma and Grandpa See brought their trailer up so that we could stay in it. It was nice because Grandma and Grandpa Nyman's trailer is getting a little crowded with all of us in there.

We had a little trouble with the slide out on the trailer on both the elk and deer hunt. We had trouble with the heater too. But nothing tops the fire/smoked out trailer when the generator reved up on the deer hunt after the snow storm. I thought fore sure we were toast. It didn't take very long for us to pack up and come home. We'll it took longer than expected because we were snowed in. It probably took 45 minutes to dig out the car.

We had a lot of fun. A few animals were brought back. Thank Goodness Daddy didn't get one. Whooah. We don't want one unless it can be a wall hanger. :)

Kayla's B-day - Oct 1, 2010

Kayla is getting so big. She is sure not a baby anymore. She is a little girl. We love her so much and are so happy she is part of our family.

Kayla and Grandma See made her birthday cake.

We had a big party at Aunt Konie's house. Everyone was there. It was so fun. Kayla got so many fun presents. She had a blast.

Kayla's 3 Year Old Pics

We had a fun time taking pictures this year. We go a lot of really good pictures of Kayla. She is so beautiful. I think my favorite is her kissing the frog. It was supposed to be a joke. But it think it is awesome.

A Little Behind

It has been a while since I posted. So, I am going to try to catch up. I will be posting a few posts from last year. Thanks Konie for reminding me I haven't updated in forever.....
