Happy Halloween Kitty

Kayla was a super cute Halloween Kitty this year. She loved her costume. She wore it all night and didn't want to take it off.

We went to Grandma See's and trick or treated with a bunch of cousin's and then we went to Aunt Bonnie's and Great Grandpa Perkes, Great Grandpa and Grandma Nyman's and then to Grandma Nyman's. We met up with Tori and Titan there. We had a great day. Thanks to everyone who had Kayla friendly treats and prizes. It made it a great day for her.

September Fun

This past week has been really fun for us. We took Kayla to Hogle Zoo for the first time. She got to see the baby elephant, baby giraffe, baby snow leoppards, and baby tigers. It was really fun. She had the most fun on the train.

We also went to the Cirrcus on Friday. I was worried that it would be too much for Kayla, but she really loved it. She loved the elephants, tigers and clowns. She even got a wizard hat. Pretty cute. It was fun for Derrek and me too.

Kayla got into my lip gloss. Want a Kiss?

Kayla Growing Up too Fast

Kayla is growing up too fast. She now thinks that she can crawl out of her crib. She only seems to do it when she is playing in there. Not when she is sleeping and wakes up. Thankfully. She also likes to dress herself. As you can tell from the great outfit that she is wearing. She was wearing a matching outfit when we started out....but as the day progressed....she ended up in polka dots and stripes. Got to love it.

Lovin' the outdoors

Kayla is loving the outdoors. She especially loves to mow the lawn with her dad or ride on the 4 wheeler with Grandpa See. Her new favorite thing to do is to play "Rally Monkey" in her crib. If you listen close, she say's "Monkey". So cute.

Easter Fun

Kayla really got into Easter this year. We went to the Nyman's on Saturday for an easter hunt and dinner. She had a great time hunting for easter eggs. She didn't mind at all that she couldn't eat most of the treats. Daddy was sure glad that she was a good hunter. He will be in candy for a month. She wore the bunny ears almost all day. She also like the indoor hunt, where she got a new baby, some books and a spring outfit. Sunday, the easter bunny visited Kayla's house and brought her some new clothes, and books and puzzels. Somehow the easter bunney knew that Kayla couldn't have candy, and just left her some new fun things. Sunday afternoon, we went to the Seeholzer's for dinner and an easter egg hunt. Grandma made special easter eggs just for Kayla to hunt. They were filled with little bags of rice krispies and crackers, so that Kayla could have treats too. Thanks Grandma, it was very special. We all had a weekend.

Isn't this awesome. My Mom, Dad, Derrek and I went on an Alaskan Cruise in 2006. We had the time of our lives. Derrek and I wanted to go and it was Mom & Dad's 40th wedding anniversary so we talked them into coming with us.

This is a picture of us at Glacier Bay. It was sooooooo cold, but definately an experience I will never forget. I can't wait to get back to Alaska.

Results......are in......

Well, it's good news and not so good news. The good news is that she had an undetectable level of turkey and blueberry. So, she has grown out of 2 of her allergies. We can start giving them to her and just watching her skin to make sure that she doesn't have a reaction. If no reaction, then she is good to go on those. I am grateful, but I just wish that she out grew different ones.....but one at a time, right.

The not so good news is nothing that we didn't already know.....it just confirms that Kayla's milk allergy is extremely bad, pretty much off the charts. Her egg allergy is also extremely bad. This bites because we were hoping that the egg allergy would be at a level that the Dr. would be comfortable giving her the MMR shot. But it is not, so she will have to wait and we will just pray that she doesn't come into contact with anyone who has measles, mumps or rubella until she can get the shot.

The other things, strawberries, and apple, were at low (but still detectible) levels while oats, beef, and nuts were at moderate or high levels. Meaning, she is still allergic to them.

The Dr. said that there was no point in testing her again for another year because the milk and egg levels were so high that she didn't think that anything would change in 6 months. So, we are planning on going back in a year.

Patiently waiting......

Kayla went to her Allergist appointment today. She had rast testing done (a blood test) which will be run against all of the foods that she is allergic too. The test will determine the level of allergen in her blood, which is supposed to tell how allergic she is to the food. They will be able to tell if her allergies are getting better by the results. It will take a week before we will get the results. So, I am patiently waiting......and as we all know.....I am soooo patient.

I do have to say that Kayla was a trooper. She didn't even cry when they took her blood. Derrek said she kind of got a weird look on her face, but she didn't make a peep. Daddy on the other hand nearly fainted. :)

I will let you know what the results are when I get them........patiently waiting.....
